Cards for CCGs like Pokémon or Magic: the Gathering follow a similar standard to our normal grading.
Absolutely flawless, no imperfections. Good candidate for BGS/PSA/SCG grading
Near Mint cards may have some imperfections including a tiny edge nick or a tiny scratch or two only visible under specific light, but they are in nearly unplayed condition with no significant defects or flaws.
Can have minor border or corner wear, whitening, or minor scuffs or scratches. There are no major defects such as creases, bends. Minor imperfections are allowed, but none should be too severe.
Can have moderate border wear, corner wear, scratching or scuffing, creases or whitening or any combination of mild examples of these marks. All VG or above cards are “sleeve playable”.
Shows a severe amount of wear. Fair cards can have major creasing, scuffing, scratching, whitening and border wear and some structural damage such as minor tears or water damage. May not be “sleeve playable”.
